On the mezzanine level of the historic Palacio de Bellas Artes Museum in CDMC, in the foreground, a man leans against a marble wall with brass railing; his hands, eyes, and attention fixed on his phone. On the wall beside him hangs an unsettling image painting by David Alfaro Siqueiros, "Victima de Fascismo" (1944) depicting a man, bent over stone, marked from a whip, wrist bound, arms forward, leaning on his elbows. Both men visibly rest in similar positions.
